A Spiritual Heart Transplant

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Before I gave my heart to the Lord, I was offended when others believed I was lost. I am no longer offended by that because it means that they are concerned about my eternal destiny. It means they want me to go to heaven. It means that they love me a little bit like Jesus does.

There is nothing better for us than going to Heaven forever. The most important way people can love others is to pray for their salvation and share with them how they can get to Heaven. That particular type of love gets results that last forever. There are many less important expressions of love that only get results that last for a short time.

It is not pleasant to know that we need surgery but no one is willing to be operated on until they know they need it. It is not pleasant to know that we are not saved but none of us are willing to be saved until we know we are lost. Being saved is like a spiritual heart transplant.

Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;

Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 36:26 A NEW HEART also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Acts 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
